Office Hours/Appointments Our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments are scheduled each day from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If for any reason you are unable to keep your appointment or are running late, we would appreciate it if you would notify us as soon as possible. Appointments should be cancelled 24 hours prior to your scheduled visit in order to allow other patients an opportunity to be seen. While we make every effort to adhere to our schedule, emergencies do occur and appointments sometimes take longer than anticipated. We appreciate your patience in these situations. Please know that we take the time necessary to provide the best possible care to every child.
After Hours/Weekends "If it is a true Emergency!" One of our physicians is always on call for you and your child, should a problem arise after hours. When you dial 404-255-1933, you will reach an answering service operator who will instruct the physician to return your call. Please tell the operator your name, your child's name, the nature of the problem, and your telephone number. If it is a true emergency and you are unable to wait for a return call, either call 911, go to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite Emergency Room or go to the nearest hospital.
Telephone Calls We encourage you to call us at 404-255-1933 with concerns about your child's health. Calls made during office hours will be handled by a member of our nursing staff. The nurse may be able to answer your question immediately or may consult with a physician and return your call at the earliest possible opportunity. If you need to speak directly to you child's doctor, the nurse will arrange for your call to be returned as soon as possible.
Prescriptions We accept requests for prescription renewals during normal office hours only, in order to keep our personnel available to handle emergency situations during the evening/night. Please call for renewals at least two days before your child runs out of medication.
X-rays When x-rays are necessary, they are taken in our office for your convenience. To provide us with the best information available, please bring any x-rays you may have that relate to your child's current problem or injury. Any additional diagnostic testing that may be required will be arranged by our office. |
