Dr. Dana Olszewski, more commonly referred to as "Dr O", joined Children’s Orthopaedics of Atlanta in September 2013. Dr. Olszewski completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester in New York. She then went on to receive a Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology in May 2003 from the University of Buffalo. Having enjoyed her time in Buffalo, Dr. Olszewski stayed there and received her doctorate of medicine in May 2007. She completed an orthopaedic residency at Boston University Medical Center. She most recently spent a year at the renowned Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for her Pediatric Orthopaedic fellowship.
Throughout her education, Dr. Olszewski also spent some time overseas. She spent a month at the Kaimosi Hospital in Kenya, dealing with a multitude of medical problems in a rural setting. She held clinics in Cyprus for pediatric orthopaedic patients over the course one week. She also historically spent 4 months in London, England as a teaching assistant and coordinator for children with developmental disabilities including Autism and Down Syndrome.
She has an interest in the following areas:
- Feet, particularly clubfeet
- General Orthopaedics, including trauma
- Neuromuscular disorders
In her spare time, Dr. Olszewski enjoys being outdoors hiking or running, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She is married and has two young children.
