I never thought I would say an "emergency situation" was easy and informative…..but that is exactly what it was with Dr. Primos and Children's Orthopedics of Atlanta. Our 10 year old son, Christopher, plays on lots of organized sports teams – but of course that is not where he was injured. He took an odd fall during a pick up football game on wet pavement. We thought it was just sore, and told him to go to bed and it would be better in the morning.
When he woke up the next morning, he could not move his hand and we were not sure what to do. We decided to take him to COA and Dr. Primos took him in immediately. Dr. Primos and his staff were so friendly and put us at easy right away. Dr. Primos talked to us about what happened (talking directly to Christopher which made him feel he was involved and being heard) then took x-rays. Dr. Primos came back with the x-rays and gave us an update and options. They were able to immediately put on a cast, talked with us about how he could continue to play football while still being safe and answered questions we didn't even know we needed to ask – which was GREAT. He got us out of there and Christopher was back at school before lunch!!
When we returned to have the cast removed – Dr. Primos and his staff were as quick, thorough, informative and friendly as they were the first time. Christopher was glad to hear all the tips Dr. Primos gave him for working his hand back to full motion while continuing to play football and I was glad to hear all the safety precautions he shared with us. Thanks Dr. Primos and COA!

Thank you so much for the care you provide!! My husband and I greatly appreciated your taking time to consult with Dr. Busch and even more, your personal phone call at the end of the work day! Both Matthew and Lauren feel so comfortable with you that it certainly makes these visits better!! Matthew recovering from this third (and hope FINAL) collarbone break really appreciated the prescription of more dairy including more DQ Blizzards.
Again we appreciate you and the care and concern for your patients and the care and consoling for their parents during the journey!!

Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our little Trip (Dennis). You are a very caring and compassionate doctor, and for that we are very thankful. Your concern you showed for our son & the amount of time you spent talking to us will never be forgotten. You are a one of a kind doctor! Your office staff is impeccable as well. ? We pray that our son will have no more broken bones but if he does, you will be our choice as his doctor. You along with Scottish Rite make it easier to be a parent. We know we have people we can depend on to take excellent care of our child, if needed. Thank God for people like you!
